Joseph "Joe" Allen LeRoy

Mr. Joseph Allen “Joe” LeRoy, 69 of Ga. Hwy 220W, Lincolnton entered into rest on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Doctor’s Hospital, Augusta.

Mr. LeRoy, son of the late Metz and Catherine Rickerson LeRoy was born on August 21, 1953 in Washington, Ga. He grew up in Lincolnton, graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1972 and worked for The Thompkins Company for almost 20 years until he became disabled.  He had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing any of the Country Outlaws songs. In years past he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Also, he attended Martin’s Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. He never left home without his Cowboy hat and boots on.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Katherine “Kathy” Bame LeRoy; children, Cathy Jo Smith and husband Chris of Dalton, Katie Walton and husband Hubert of N. Augusta, Casey Wilson and husband Willie of Augusta, Aaron Schlein and wife Kim of Augusta; brothers, Lamar LeRoy of Lincolnton, Ronnie LeRoy of Evans; sister, Wanda Mouzon of Tryon, NC; 9 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 3pm at Martin’s Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral in the church sanctuary.
